I want to say that paper doesn't exist and just because I believe that, I want you to believe thatas well, just going by me, not researching it for yurself. Now, Let's get to the Truth, God in Fact, does exist and just because others do not believe that doesn't make it untrue. How can opinion undo what is true? It can't. Instead of arguing and insulting believers on this site, use your time wisely and read up on it. Many people will have varied opinions on this topic, but John 8:32 states "You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free" Bless you in your searching.

Hi, Jack and your OPINION that His existence is my OPINion is bogus, it is fact and you need to go full force and try to disprove it. I know a number of people who tried to disprove it on historical fact alone were concinced that He does. Thanks

Hi, Meluu, you have me so pegged huh? Well, my "OPINION" as seems to be the catch word around here is irrelevant. YOU go ahead and disprove what you want to, but the FACT remains that you have a God shaped hole in your heart and you can fill it with any misshapen thing that you wish, but when push comes to shove, are you willing to throw away your eternity on a theory or whim? BE SURE YOU ARE SURE of where you will be when this life is over. and look, not one Bible quote!!

yes, Joa, they CHOOSE not to believe it, but IT is still there to be reckoned with. PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES, don't rely on people, ask God to show the Truth, and He who must be true to Himself will do just that.

thank you for all of the expected insults and opinions, wow, what an overused word. It is amazing to me how many of them there are out there. Well, I only prya that when you are stripped of your opinions and have to face reality in front of God that you have decided that Jesus is your Lord. As to all of the Chrisitans out there, as you can tell, this world is a place of many OPINIONS, don't be swayed, stay true and close to the Lord, and you can't go wrong.

You dont' have to proove to anyone that God exists. They themselves have to proove themselves worthy of God and His son Jesus by their own admission that they believe in Jesus as their savior. If they choose not to, it's a monumental loss for them.

I want to say Unicorns exist. I've never seen one but because I believe it I want you to believe it too.
My problem is people who use the Bible to prove God's existence. You're right, people are fallible, and let's all remember who wrote the Bible. Not God, not Jesus, people. How do you prove God's existence, you can't. Not in the logical sense of the word. For every arguement for God there is another that is against it and for people with an open-mind there is logic to both. For those who say faith and reason don't belong together see my first point. Just because you say something exists doesn't mean it does. Just like because you say something doesn't exist doesn't mean it doesn't. And if you followed that you get a gold star. My point to all this is that your argument is self defeating. You try to use a reducio ad absurdum to compare God to paper. Intangible to tangible. It doesn't follow. You say many people have varying opinions and you are right. People vary in believing or denying. You tell people who don't believe to read up on it. Perhaps you should do the same? And while I'm here doesn't the Bible say judge not lest ye be judged? Keep that in mind while you sit in judgement over all us sinners out here.

a god would not let a small child be looked up in a closet and starve, a god would not let things be bad. if he can control it just make everything all good. the Egyptians had gods like the sun god and the wind god, we know there are not true.
there are so many religions and they all have a god. Hindus, Jews, budda, Christians all have gods. But there is supposed to be one god. SOMEBODY WRONG I wounder who it is. Since Christianity is the newest I would bet it is wrong. The word is not. It teaches us to treat people good, with respect.
Think about it there is this being up there just making stuff, just floating around in heaven. that sounds silly. where did he come from? What makes Jesus any different that say,,, David Caresh ( Waco TX thing) If there was a guy that said I'm Jesus, you would think he was crazy. Just like we did with David careresh.
If there was a right religion I would pick Jewish, after all Jesus was a Jew so it cant be that bad.

First of the bible isn't proof of God's existence. So, to use it as a basis for "truth" is completely is fallible. You can say that you believe in God because of what the bible says and your personal experience. But, to expect everyone to share your view is rather close minded. To assume that people who do not believe in God have not researched is a rather ignorate statement. You do not know what others have done on their own spiritual path. Thankfully we are all different..what a world it would be if we are all alike. I am sure you will add some comment to mine based on what the bible says...thats fine. However, the bible logicallly speaking is not the basis for truth. It may be for you but not for all people. You know even your opinion of God is fallible...I do not believe any religion or spiritual path or personal experience has the corner stone on truth.

This is the only question I see here:
"How can opinion undo what is true?"
It can't but, it also can't make something true in the first place. Your opinion that God exists doesn't make it true. Going by your own logic, you admit that God might not exist because the only evidence for God's existence is your opinion. This is a flawed argument.
"your OPINION that His existence is my OPINion is bogus,"
No it's not, it's impossible for an opinion to be "bogus".
"it is fact and you need to go full force and try to disprove it."
No I don't. The burden of proof is on the believer. It always has been and it always will be. (This isn't a chat room, if you would like to continue this conversation, you are welcome to e-mail me.)

This is dumb. First of all, more atheists have more knowledge about the Bible and Christianity than many Christians do. Second, you speak about how atheists use opinion to try and justify their beliefs. Every religious person does the same. Did you witness the events of the Bible? Who said they are true? Your priest/preacher/religious leader? So, you are putting your faith into the hands of another human being? Did he/she witness the events recorded in the Bible? If not, who told him/her? Was it his/her preacher/priest/religious leader from when he/she was younger? Did their religious leader witness these events?
If you don't understand what I'm saying...
You choose to put your faith into a book and some people. Your OPINION is that God exists.
I choose to put my faith into my own mind and the world I observe around me. My OPINION is that God does not exist.
I searched and I read and I found that God does not exist. You will not change my mind by insulting me. I do not plan on changing yours by ways of fact.
Stop trying to throw insults at atheists and do your own research. Maybe then you will see truth.

Has it occurred to you that the reason some people don't believe in your Christian God is because they have done the research?
They don't like what they see so they choose not to believe it. There's nothing wrong with that. Christians did the same thing with Paganism, except they went over-board and literally demonized the Pagan Gods and Goddesses to prove a point. Be grateful that the Atheists and Agnostics haven't taken it that far with you guys.
If Christians don't like how vocal Atheists are with their beliefs, perhaps Christians should tone it down a bit, too. Besides, like the saying says: "You get what you give."

God also says: Because you have not a love for the truth,I will send you a strong delusion that you believe a lie. This is not exactly the way it reads, but it is close. If you mock God your ability to believe will grieve the Holy Spirit away. The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the God-head.

I dnt say that God dusnt exists....but all I say is that...the God mentioned in bible is the one i dnt believe in....that He wants our prayers.....about Satan and stuff. Like in Qoran He is defined to b the One which cant be compared with anything else u can ever imagine of,he doesnt has ne sons or daughters..nor is He a child of any other....He is Unique....this is the God I believe in...but then in Islam also..they say U shud follow principles as set by them and this that.....now these are the things i dnt agree upon. About the whole concept of judgmnt...about heaven hell....is all false according tu me. It is jus all human made...human mind...all the scriptures including Bible and others. U lemme kno wht u have researched....believing HIM is not a prob....believing in the religion to believe in HIM is although a problem. I dnt need a religion tu tell me we shud do this that.....coz God has asked us...I dnt believe God told sumthing or anything to any individual, if HE does..everyone will hear.I do believe HE watches us all...but not that we need Christ to let us know his Way to please him...nor Prophet Mohammad to give guidelines. If HE is all in all....then is it me,or He who fall??

Except that the Bible is the only source that tells us God exists. Without it, we wouldn't be any wiser. So you can't say that God exists "indisputably, in-fact." It is true that one's belief that He doesn't exist won't change reality that he does. However, it's conversely true that if he doesn't exist, your belief in Him doesn't make it so either. But you are right; arguing here won't really convince anyone of anything, so your advice goes for both believers and non-believers.
