If you have alot of time on your hands I would recommend getting a dog from puppymillrescue.com They rescue puppymill dogs.

Go to http://petfinder.com and search for a rescue group. You may even be able to find a yorkie rescue group. Also go to http://www.akc.org and look under yorkie, sometimes they have rescue groups listed there or if you visit the US Yorkie website they may have a rescue group. Good luck and bless you heart for wanting to rescue instead of buying a dog.
