That's your question? Fat and happy? Are you really happy when you're fat? I don't think so really! Are you miserable when you're skinny? I guess I don't understand the extremems your're going to here.
If you are trying to be healthy and you're only dieting, well maybe you are miserable, as you're having to do without all the foods and yummy things you enjoy, and who likes to do that all the time! I have an idea for you. Try this.
Try just watching what you eat for 6 days a week and give yourself one free day to eat whatever you want. This is what I have my clients do. Cut back on these things big time for 6 days and then on the 7th day have what you want. Cheese, fried foods, fast foods, sugarty treats, sodas. Instead have salads, chicken sandwiches, chicken casseroles, spaghetti with wheat noodles, wheat breads. Cut your portions in half. Now just by doing these things, you'll lose weight. Now do this:
Add some kind of exercise into your world 4-6 days a week. Anything aerobic such as: swimming, walking fast, aerobics, treadmill, stationary bike, kickboxing, tae bo, you can get cd's online now really easy and do them at home if you want to. Now when you exercise do this for a minimum of 30 minutes each time. Give yourself 1-2 days a week off and watch your foods!
When you combine these 2 things together you won't be giving up foods totally, and you'll lose because you're adding in exercise. You won't be miserable becaue you'll feel better about yourself because you're getting healthier, more fit, and you'll feel better emotionally and physically too. Hope some of this helps.....

You can be whatever you like.

I'm fat, and mostly happy.

But I've been working out every day for the last 7 weeks and I've lost weight, and I"m still happy.

I imagine that once I've become non-fat (you know, like milk), that I'll still be happy.

Be whatever you want, and remain happy. If your not happy, then change it so that you do what it takes for you to be happy again.

Hope that this helps.

Well, it is pretty good to be skinny. Like, yor more active and stuff -- and I dont mean as skinny as UNDERWEIGHT or ANOREXIC I mean 'Thin'. but dont be miserable. So my answer is probably....uhm....blah...fat and happy. Being skinny is good, bu being happy is still very important in a healthy lifestyle :)

I'd go for fat and happy. Since I've stopped obsessing over my weight I've been a lot happier person. It has allowed me to focus on things other than what I am going to eat every second of the day. I used to be anerexic (sp?) so I know what the alternative is. Please stop obsessing and enjoy your life. There are much more important things to worry about.
