We won't need to unless Syria and Iran get involved. Israel has always used mild force with Lebanon and Palestine, it would not be an even battle if Israel fully unloads on either side. My fear of course is that this is all a ruse to get Iran into a direct confrontation with Israel and hence the US. I think our gov't tip toes around Iran in the political world of the UN and G8, but probably would like nothing more than to eliminate Iran completely.

This war is actually every-bodies war for it is against fanatical terrorism which is the modern day enemy that is threatening all of our freedoms, unlike other wars this one has no borders. but resides like a cancer in weak countries, like Lebanon in this case, and destroys the lives's of the people living there. Very few of the true Lebanese people live there anymore as the fanatics have moved in. The true enemy of Lebanon is Syria, and Iran who use it as a playground to antagonize Israel and the rest of the world into bombing such a beautiful country. Before the Hezbollah moved in Lebanon was known as the Switzerland of the Middle East, leaders of fashion, finance, beautiful resorts...These fanatical terrorists have no heart for their fellow Muslims their main intent is to combat all that is not Muslim which is agains Mohamads teachings. BinLadin did the same in Afghanistan.
I think the whole world should stand up and fight these fanatics in every way possible so that no more countries fall victims to thier personal insacurities.

Israel does not need help from the U.S., but if Syria and Iran become officially involved, I think that the U.S. will and should become a part of the current conflict. Remember, Israel is the only nation in the Middle East known to have nuclear capabilities.

The USA should stand up for the principles on which this country was founded. One of those principles is Freedom of Religion. Because Hezbollah, among others, does not recognize Israel's right to exist based on religion it makes sense that we would support Israel. Everyone has a right to be free and we should defend those rights.

I think Isreal will do quite well on its own but, they are one of our allies. If the war escalates as many believe it will we may have to at some point. Would America hesitate to step in if say Britian or Canada were to come under attack Nope. We should stand with our allies we may need them ourselves someday yah never no.

Support them yes, but Israel can take care of themselves. Just watch the next few days, they are a well trained and well equiped military.

No, just leave those people alone, let the whole middle east kill themselves out, the world would be a better place and may force us to use something other than OIL, and be progressive with the environment...

No. But we will, because there are too many multi-billionaire, multi-trillionaire Jewish string-pullers dictating what policy is in Washington. I'm not anti-Semitic and that's not an anti-Jewish statement. That is a factual statement, and it's just as true of a factual statement as saying "school buses are yellow".
