how many years do you have to be living together in Washington state to be common law married?

If we just live together for the kids sake but sleep in seperate rooms what are the repurcussions? Will we have to get a divorce one day if we choose to marry someone? Do we have to split everything? can we stop living together for a while and then start back up to break the streak of years living together? We are not living together now and the baby isn't even born but I'm curious about certain possibilities.

Washington State does not recognize common-law marriages. So it does not matter how long you live together - you are not married nor will you ever be considered to have been married.

where i come from (canada) if you date 6 months and live together you are commoin law

you must split everything 50/50

if you live in the same house you are together

a break up to end the stretch doesnt work because at that time your partner can add up the time you have been together and use that against you legally

so you say all this complicated situations stuff then end it by saying that you have no kids and you dont live together...
those are two completely different scenarios...
one your screwed if you want to break up
two your doubley mucked up if you have kids
child support and a break up sex before marriage,

NO. in many states you're able to desire to be living jointly for 7 or greater years in the previous you're basic regulation married. Registering a canine is unlike adopting a baby or some thing. and basic regulation marriage somewhat skill no longer something. It only skill that components is technically owned via the two considered one of you. yet you havent lived jointly long sufficient.
