This is a very controversial subject, as many controversial subjects in this forum have been.

Serving two masters is impossible. Let's look at God and Satan. God despises the actions of those who hate Him and Satan hates the actions of those who love God. If one is telling you to do something good while the other is telling you to do something bad, sooner or later you will have to choose one or the other just to keep sane.

Everyone has the right of choice in life, including the right of choice if they believe or don't believe in God and Jesus.

What about you? Do you believe it is possible to serve two masters?

As it is you only have one mind and you are following another. Now imagine if you would be following what two masters of two totally different minds have to say and do. Your brain would be split right down the middle with two totally different opinions. Which do you choose? If you get tiered of ones rules do you go to the other ones rules and so fourth? Will one master love you more than the other? Who would you love? What kind of rules would you obey? Life is about discipline. You are your own master. Would you like to hear voices in your head contradicting every opinion of yours I don't think so.

Because if one chooses to serve two masters, both masters fail to receive 100% attention. What Jesus was saying is that it is impossible to crave worldly success and serve God. But it is also applicable in humanistic terms...

Jesus answered that one. You will either hate the one and love the other or love the one and hate the other. If you get a job with two bosses that tell you different things to do and different ways to do it and you get flack from one for what the other says to do as it is differnent then that one wants, how long before you just get fed up and quit?

You can either serve the Master of faith or you can serve the master of evil. They are like positive and negative. If you please one you not please the other. (I think someone might have already said that and, if so, I agree completely.)

You can only please one master. There are only two possible masters in the universe---Jesus or Satan. they are contrary to one another. If you please one, then you will be despised by the other. The same is with human masters.

It is like trying to be positive and negative at the same time or an optimist and a pessimist at the same time.
