---Genesis 6:6 "The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain." This is the time right before the flood of Noah in which mankind was so evil that God decided to destroy everyone except Noah and his family.
---Judges 10:15 - 16.
But the Israelites said to the LORD, "We have sinned. Do with us whatever you think best, but please rescue us now." 16 Then they got rid of the foreign gods among them and served the LORD. And he could bear Israel's misery no longer.
---Here, the Israelites were suffering oppression from their enemies as punishment for worshipping idols. They asked God to save them, but he was so angry, he refused and told them to ask their false gods to deliver them. However, when they continued to be sorry and got rid of their false gods, He "could bear their misery no longer." He was merciful and compassionate.

Pain is in fact a blessing. There is a rare disease where you can feel no pain. I saw a little girl who had it, and she was bandaged everywhere. Her hands were burned on the cooker, and she could not understand it because it didn't hurt. She hurt herself and kept doing it, because pain didn't stop her. She got sick and her parents wouldn't know, because she wouldn't complain about any pain. So, you see, it is bad but necessary.

I think God feels emotional pain for people who sin.
