This is the recipe we used when my son wanted to dye his hair a lime green color. It was quite effective and lasted for a couple of months.
first you need to find out you have to bleach your hair. Brunettes and redheads have to bleach or else the color won't take. If you have red hair, this may not work at all. Red is the hardest color hair to change color on. If it's darker, but all you want is a tint of color, you don't need to bleach. Blondes will not need to either.
Do you want streaks or over all color? The basic instructions are the same for both. The difference is that streaks should be separated from the rest of the hair by wrapping in foil.
Bleaching your hair is fairly simple. Buy a Blondissima kit by L'Oreal Paris. You want a kit that says it is specifically for bleaching. Blonding won't be enough. Mix the ingredients according to the box and apply to hair in a well-ventilated room. Put on the cap and wait the amount of time it says on the box. When you are done waiting, peek under the cap to see how much it has bleached out. If your not happy with the results, put the cap back on and wait another five or ten minutes. When your hair has turned that yellowy-white colour, rinse the bleaching out completely. Don't use the conditioner that comes with the kit, yet. Conditioner closes off your hair and it won't accept the new color.
Next ,mix up UNSWEETENED Kool Aid. Select the color you like, the brighter ones work best. Mix two packages of unsweetened mix with about a tablespoon of conditioner. If you haven't bleached your hair first, go wet it. Put on a pair of rubber gloves, apply the Kool Aid and conditioner to your hair. You can always mix more if you need to so have at least two extra packets of Kool Aid on hand. Put on a shower cap (you can recycle the old one, but you have to wash it thoroughly) and leave it. Leave it as long as you possibly can, all day if possible. The longer you leave it on, the better the color will take in your hair.
The color will fade away over time. If you are tired of it and want it out quicker, Crest toothpaste will speed up this process, you smear it on the same way you did the bleaching. If you have light hair or bleached it, the color will be faded but still present.

You put the koolaid powder in a cup. Add just enought water so that it becomes a paste. use something to transfer the paste onto your hair. Wrap in in aluminum foil and leave it on for half an hour. When you wash it off it should be dyed.

I tried dying my hair with kool aid for Halloween one time about 10 years ago. I don't remember what flavor it was, but the color lasted for several months, a lot longer than I ever thought it would. You just mix kool aid and water and boil it and then let your hair soak in it for several minutes as soon as it's cool enough( but still warm). You can add a little white vinegar to make the color last longer. If your hair is to dark, it probably won't work. Good luck.

next you may desire to combine up the Kool help. pick a coloration you like, the brighter the extra desirable. blend 2 packets of unsweetened blend with a double quarter sized quantity of conditioner. i won't rigidity adequate that this could desire to be unsweetened Kool help. in case you employ the sugar-further form, your hair would be a large number. in case you haven't any longer bleached your hair first, circulate moist it. placed on a pair of gloves and prepare the Kool help on your hair. If that may not adequate to thickly coat the hair, blend up some extra and proceed. Wrap your head in plastic wrap and depart it. depart it as long as you may stand it, all day in case you may. The longer you depart it, the extra desirable the colour will adhere to the hair.

make very concentrated koolaid and soak your hair in it for at least fifteen minutes. Keep it in as long as possible until you wash it out.

Well I mix the kool-ade with water and put in the microwave for just a few seconds. Then I put it on my head and let it set and dry then wash it out.
