I'm afraid it does count as cheating. If you really want to keep this girlfriend then you could ask him if he wants a threesome. He probably will, then you invite this girl if she knows you have a boyfriend. It could work out like this but you have to be careful because even this could make him jealous if he sees it going on too much. If you tell him you were seeing her before it won't matter to him what the gender was, he will still be mad. Of course I suggest you don't lie, but it could ruin your relationship. Now if the girl you've been with doesn't know you have a boyfriend that can cause some trouble too.

If you have some kind of doubt about her like you think she might be lying about the boyfriend then she probably is. IF she does then she most likely won't take you serious she would see you more as an object, someone to have fun with and will go back to her boyfriend she won't have any strong feelings for you

Yes, a girl counts as cheating. Anyone be it male or female that you are intimate with counts. If you really care about him you should tell him and suffer the consequences but atleast be honest.

I think it counts as cheating. And maybe you should tell him, but then ask if he'd ever want to do it with you and the girl, cause I'm pretty sure he'd forgive you, if you let that happen.

Yes you need to tell him because you basically cheated on him.
But in this particular situation, I do not think he will be as angry with you as he would be if you were messing around with another man.
Not extending an invitation to him is being disrespectful.
