I'm going to be a Sophmore this year. High school is really not that bad. Everyone says "Omg, your gonna be a freshman?! That sucks for you, the seniors will beat you up, don't mess with the upper classmen girl!". It was deffinatly not that bad. It was actually pretty good. I learned so much this year about people. I discovered who I was and I had so many new things come into my life. Some bad, some good, but I learned from it for once. And it was sort of fun. Because theres a sense of more freedom. You have to stick up for yourself and speak up. Being polite and nice is a big part of it too. If your polite and nice and you respect people, they will respect you. It isn't bad at all. I dont know any of any freshmen that were beaten up this year at my school. Maybe its different at the school your going too, but I doubt it. Make as many friends as you can and keep your grades up. Study too! Take a challenge. If you take a higher class instead of taking the easy ones that you know will be so easy for you, colleges will be impressed. Everyone will. But dont go past your limit. Do what you can. Choose friends that will stick by you. Sometimes finding new ones can be better. Find ones in your classmates. That would be better, because then you have someone to be your partner when a project comes up. Meet new people, get on your teacher's good side. And get involved. I didn't and I regretted it. Its not bad, dont be scared, I was so scared and I thought I never would be ready. But it all worked out. Theres a lot of others that will be there with the same feelings, seek them out, become friends and trust me, it will be a good year. Bad times and good times I am sure. But just try your best. Good luck! :)

it so much fun and there really is something for everyone. You also get a lot of independence in high school because the teachers have a lot more students so they don't have time to speak to each student individually. But if you do need help i recommend going up to the teacher after class of school. If you are kind of scared of them then you need to go up and ask them when a good time is to talk so you don't have to worry about people intrupting your important conversation.

it all depends where you go. i can tell you one thing if your high school has freshman friday you might want to bw sick every time or try to make friends that arent freshman and see if they will protect you from the upper classmen. My old school used to have that but I lied and told them that I just moved there, which I did, and that I was a sophomore. They will judge you no matter what happens, if you are preppy adn hang out with the jocks then the people who arent will judge you and if you arent preppy then the preppy people will judge you. high school is full of cliques so find yours.

It is going to be challenging, but it will also be sooooo fun.
I am a high school teacher... so I know.
There will be quite a bit of work, but you will also have the opportunity to participate in lots of clubs, sports and activities. Just start the year with an open mind, and you will be fine!
Have fun!

It sucks because everyone judges you especially since you are only a freshman. It only last 4 years remember that.

No one ever thinks they're ready.
Friends stay true, so dont' dump you're own for the "cool" people. It's never going to be the same.
