I am one, I thank every single one of them daily, and you are right, freedom is the most expensive right and privilege we Americans own, and I will die to keep it that way...

If one cannot thank their family and/or friends who serve/have served our country all the time, then I'd hope that they'd make sure they express their thanks on Veteran's Day and Memorial Day, at the very least.

I HAVE thanked vets lately... especially my step-dad, who served in Vietnam at the ripe old age of 18. Now that I'm older, I realize all of the attrocities he experienced at an age that he really shouldn't have.... and I'm grateful that he made that sacrifice for me.

I wish that I had thanked my grandfather and his brother more than I did for serving in WWII.... Again, it is only now as an adult that I realize what THEY experienced so that I wouldn't have to.

Right on. And don't forget to thank the ACLU as well, which is committed to defending freedom from within, even when it is distasteful or inconvenient. This, too, is part of the price of freedom.

I thank vets all the time. I do alot of volunteering with a local disabled vets group, and I give thanks to them all the time for fighting to keep our country free.
