What do I do now?

Question

After a whole year of dating this guy, he just dumped me for no good reason. I was trying to figure out why, he just told me that I didn't like his friends. To tell you the truth, I really didn't like all these other girls hanging all over him. Now,........I have cards, letters, gifts, e-mails, and all that kind of stuff. What do I do with it? It is SO hard. I kind of want to keep it, and yet, I really don't. We had "our song" and now every time it comes on, I start crying. I have never had to deal with anything like this. Do you have any advice?

Give it some time, get a shoe box and maybe decorate it, put all the letters and little stuff in there and store it where you won't lose it, as far as e-mails, make a seperate folder for his. If your song comes on, turn it off until you're able to get over him. Don't let it get to you, there are plenty more guys out there and even more that will treat you better than he did, despite what you think. It'll get better.

I think that u should probably keep the cards and all the other stuff about him, but put in in a box and keep it away for a while. I understand ur going through a difficult situation, but think about the positive things! Ur single, just be your own woman for a while. If u like u can meet some new guys, but don't jump into anything serious 2 fast. Maybe u should hang out with your friends 4 a while, go shopping, party, basically heal yourself. It helped me when I moved away from my b-friend a year ago. I hope this info helps a little bit. But don't worry, you'll be okay and you'll move on with your life, just think positive, do not stay in the shadow of ur ex, THINK POSITIVE! (I really hope I said this right, I'm younger than what anyone expects!)

Keep the stuff packed away so that you can always remember him. Tell him that if he wants to get back together you'll do it. If you really loved him and you aren't extremely mad at him keep the stuff in a box, and put the e-mails in a folder marked with his name. When your song comes on don't cry, It must be one of your fave. songs, just listen to it and remember THERE WILL COME ANOTHER GUY IF THAT'S WHAT JESUS WANTS.

First of all, there's nothing wrong with you. He has the problem, he's a jerk. If the stuff he gave you upsets you so much, get rid of it. Always remember that the best revenge is for him to see you with another guy. You sound like a nice girl, so lose this looser.and find someone who appreciates you. I know you're hurting now, we've all been there, but this to shall pass.

Keep the stuff, but stick it in a box. Throw it back in your closet. Only look at it when you want to reminisce. Then get back out there in the dating scene. Sitting home crying over spill milk is going to get you nowhere. The best way to get over an old flame is to find a new one. Best of luck to you!!!

I would recommend you wait a while...a few weeks, maybe a few months...before deciding what to keep and what to throw away. For now, you could put everything from him in a box, to be dealt with when the wound has lessened and your head is clearer.

Send it all back to him or put it in a bin and burn it. It's ok to grieve the loss time and of the relationship but then you need to let it go and move on with your life and realize that he's not worth it.
