1. You don't have a DAB radio
secondly what would it record to as now may radio's have CD players only and no recording circuits DAB radios have memory to put up to 15 minutes to for a pause but not permanent recording.

Two options - battery or starter motor.... Check you battery with a voltmeter. If that is fine, holding charge and all the rest then next time it happens try tapping the starter motor with a block of wood - on the end if possible. Oh and by tap I mean wallop it. Be careful though, they are usually cast so will shatter if you hit them too hard. If it then works, change the starter. Other options are bad connections, faulty earth and a few other bits but rule out the main two first...

because they want you to go but the cd. my mp3 has a record button and i haven't bought a cd in about a yr

goodmans do,and you can get them at argos ,i have one with a usb port on the front that records to a dongle
