Hector, do you have a pirate fetish or what? Of course North America was not founded by pirates!! The Vikings were the first here, and there were native Americans living in North America then. They were bot pirates but were and are called "explorers."
I hope this helps.

North America was not "founded" -- it was discovered. First my Asians (ancestors to native Americans), then perhaps by Vikings, then by other Europeans.
Although piracy was common, pirates tend not to be explorers-- they are seeking established trade routes (in empty places, there is nothing to plunder, after all).
From a political standpoint, the nations that compose North America --Canada, Mexico and the United States, were founded as colonies of France, Holland, Spain, and England.

Pirates depend on plundering ships carrying valuables to make a living. Since there were no trade routes from North America to Europe before European settlers and conquerors came over, it would be very unlikely that pirates would have come this far and settled! They weren't a bunch of farmers, matey!
