Spirituality is the mountain of the HOLY ONE, religion is a path towards the peak. Some paths are simple and straight which require minimum effort to climb, some are more convoluted and serpentine and take you up slowly through many distractions, some of which can lead you down the slopes, rather than only up and up. As one rises on the Mountain of the HOLY ONE, the slopes become steeper and steeper until they become so very steep that every step is more difficult than the previous one, but at no point it is beyond the capabilities of a human being to proceed further.

When we have reached the highest possible station that we are capable of, then we die, as staying on this Earth does not make sense any more. Those who are giving and doing good in the path of the Lord are thus rising towards his peaks.

The Lord Most High is the GIVER of everything. His select and his elect have given much more than they have taken from this World. Thanks to the GREAT ONES among the human beings, we have formed the rope and the connection on the Mountain of LIGHT, which we can climb today.

Religion certainly has everything to do with Spirituality if it has not been tampered with by mendicants and profiteers. True you can climb the Mountain of Spirituality without following a set of steps that are clearly marked, but at times there are hidden perils that one may not realize and falter and fall.

In any case, connect with the HOLY ONE, and like a grandpa holds the little child's hand and guides him or her, He, Almighty will help us, as long as we are humble, realize our station in the scheme of things (that is realize that he does not need us, nor do any of his creatures, but that it is his Mercy that we exist at all, that is it is an opportunity for US to do good and be kind to his creatures and be as light a burden as possible on his Earth, while uplifting as many as we can, and seek his help everytime!!).

May the Lord guide us to the truth and the Straight path if we are not on it already and keep us firm on it if we are alread treading it. Amen.

Often times religion can get in the way of spirituality. Spirituality requires that you take the steps along the way yourself. In religion you don't have to decide what an experience means for you. There are others who will tell you what it means for/to them and that often becomes the basis of that religion. Though again this doesn't ALWAYS hold true

You are so right and I do so Agree. Christianity is not a religion, it is a Spiritual awareness gained through Gods Anointing.

The two are often confused, or rather we are lead to be confused by religious leaders who promote rules above true spirituality. Its long past time to question religious dogma. A true spiritual movement is sweeping the world. Can you feel it?

Yes. Religions are man-made organizations...I wouldn't want to speculate on their function. Some of them encourage, teach or embrace spirituality, but it's not mandatory.

I believe it does but spirituality does not necessarily lead to religion and religion does not necessarily lead to spirituality.
