For infants, and the best for active 10year olds. I know they will be 2 different sunblocks so don't treat me like I'm stupid please. This guy had skin cancer and said that they are supposed to have 2 key ingredients 1 is Titanuim dioxiode and the other is???? i can't remember. Coppertone doesn't have either one of them so I am looking foe different brand Please

I suspect the other ingredient is zinc oxide. One product that has both ingredients is called "Total Block", but it's a bit expensive. However, its advantage over other products is that it dries clear. Most other sunblock products with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide will leave a white residue on the skin.
You may want to check with them if you can use their products on your children, based on their age.
It's best to keep children under 6 months of age out of direct sunlight instead of using sunblock on them. Their skin is different than adult skin, and they may absorb more of the ingredients than children over 6 months-- this could cause toxic effects.

For "sunblock", I see that you don't use Coppertone because it doesn't have 2 ingredients that you are insisting it needs to have? I have used Coppertone Sport SPF 30 on my daughter since she was 6 months old (she is 11 months now), and she has never had a sunburn. I read that you can use adult sunblock on babies, and it will not hurt them (Parents.com).
As for the "sunblock" thing, they did a study and right now, there is NOTHING on the market that blocks out the cancer causing rays UVA and UVB (even though all labels state they do - the FDA is looking into changing the requirements for this claim to be able to be made). The best thing is to apply sunblock and make sure they are wearing a hat, sunglasses, and don't go out into the sun long.
Again, I use Coppertone Sport for my daughter, and my sister uses it on her 10 and 13 year old sons. We use it because it doesn't run into their eyes with their sweat, stinging them. You should apply it again after they have been in the water (even if the stuff says its waterproof), and every two hours they are in the sun. None of them have had a sunburn yet this summer. I would also ask your doctor what they recommend for your kids - what is the best in their opinion. They might be able to stear you somewhere or give you more information.
Good luck!

I prefer Baby Magic by Banana Boat. It is SPF 50. I have very fair skin so I use it as well b/c nothing below 50 will work for me. My son on the other hand is biracial and could get away with a lower SPF but my husband and I feel why buy 2 products when 1 will work just find for both of us. I do know that you shouldn't use a sunblock with bug repellent b/c you will need to reapply the sunscreen but not the bug repellent so it is not the best for babies and young children. I don't like the spray on kind personally but that is just me, it is up to you. Good luck.
