but it's 12.4MB, I reduced it down to 4.53MB but the picture of course is smaller and not as good as the larger one. I recorded with and am also using software from a digital camera. Is there anyway I can get it down to at least 10MB so that I may send as an attatchment?

apparently.. the software that came with the digital camera isn't good enough.. there are a lot of retail software you can buy in local stores that can do what you want to do.. for example.. adobe premiere.. its really really good.. you can do professional editing with it.. but if you're short on cash.. and you're currently using a windows platform (xp) then you can use the windows movie maker.. open the file with the movie maker then save it as another file.. movie maker will let you choose from an array of choices (for what purpose you're going to use the file) then based on that.. movie maker will reduce the file size.. since you're just aiming for 10mb from a 12.4mb.. then the video quality won't change that much as compared to reducing it to 4.53mb.. and oh yeah.. keep on experimenting with movie maker to see which option will give you what you want.. just save the file more than once.. it's a trial and error thing.. but you don't have to go through much.. there are only fewer than 10 choices.. you can also search in the internet for freeware video compression programs.. just make sure they're spyware free.. =D OR you can use Winrar.. download it at http://www.downloads.com its a compression program.. try it and see if it can compress your file to 10mb or less.. the person you're sending it to has to have winrar too.. don't worry.. its not a big program.. it only takes bout 3 seconds to install.. =P

There is a program called WinRar.With it you can use the Wizard to make smaller sized files that meld back together after you send them. The person receiving the files has to have WinRar also.
