unless you want to piss a lot of people off you should probably not say that in any way shape or form. by the way there is a diffrence between a "supporter" and a veteran, you might want to look into that before calling vietnam vets loser. they aren't losers, they were in a "conflict" for no good reasons to most people, much like the current situation in iraq. you can also support your troops and veterans. i don't agree with what's happening in iraq, but i tell you what i'd go to the ends of the earth to help a vet from any war or conflict!
i know it doesn't help and you are very bitter but thank you for your service, what you did was more than many others would try. god bless you and your family for your sacrifice.

No, you should not say this to those of us participating in Yahoo answers and address it to the general United States. Perhaps you should try sending an email to the White House or even the branch of the military that you claim to have served in.
Likewise, why are you here posting a ranting tirade instead of a real question? It is beyond irritating to have people like you on here that seek to cause more harm than good. This is getting out of hand. Are you happy now that you said this to the "United States" and insulted the veterans of the Viet Nam conflict? If you truly served in the military you would at least have a shred of respect left for those who served before you, those who have died in conflicts and for your country. Get a life.

I am sorry that you feel the way that you do, erudite. I also served in the military, the Marines, and it is one of the best things that I have ever done. I matured more during my five years there then I did in my previous 18 years.
I am proud to call myself a Marine, and no one can ever make me feel ashamed of that choice.
I would love to be able to take you seriously, but no one here knows anything about you, other than you go on like a raving lunatic. If you would stop foaming at the mouth for about the next five seconds, and compose yourself, you might even spout a little drivel that people will at least respect, even if they don't agree with you.
Best of luck, hope you take your medication. Semper Fi

A U.S. Marine squad was marching north of Basra when they came upon an Iraqi
terrorist, badly injured and unconscious. On the opposite side of the road
was an American Marine in similar but less serious state.
The Marine was conscious and alert and as first aid was given to both men,
the squad leader asked the injured Marine what had happened.
The Marine reported, "I was heavily armed and moving north along the highway
here, and coming south was a heavily armed insurgent.
"We saw each other and both took cover in the ditches along the road.
"I yelled at him that Saddam Hussein is a miserable, lowlife, scumbag, and
he yelled back that Senator Ted Kennedy is a good-for-nothing, fat left wing
liberal drunk.
So I said that Osama Bin Ladin dresses and acts like a frigid, mean spirited
woman!
He retaliated by yelling, Oh yeah? Well so does Hillary Clinton"
"And there we were, standing in the middle of the road shaking hands, when a
truck hit us.
P.S. So you lost your part of nam huh? Well the unit I was in didn't lose...I wondered who it was that dropped the ball.

Sure...go ahead. Thank you for your service to our country.
It's folks like you that protect our right to be able to fly into an incoherent rage.
Oddly, I spent 8 years in the Army and the experience has served me very well.
Probably you have issues with something besides the military and our country...but feel free to blame anybody but yourself. Doing so is as American as a bagel.

!st I don't Support bush, I do stand behind the men, who have no choice but to follow orders. Same as the Vietnam vets did. These men go into battle knowing they may NEVER come home again. I would prefer them to be home in the US to defend her from the IDIOTS that try to destroy our patriotism, and Our FLag. Which from the sound of your comments your one of them.
If you don't like our Country be our guest and get the Hell out of it.

Yes, you should say this. US soldiers fight every day, and not just in Iraq and Afghanistan, precisely so people can say whatever they want. You think this is a weakness of ours, but that is mistaken. Freedom and liberty trumps all every time. In this life there is no force stronger.

I think you're a joke, but honestly I would have cut and run a long time ago.... after bombing them back to the stone age. Israel has the right idea. You mess with us, we destroy your country. Aim a damn bomb at mecca and let them know if there's one more attack on American soil, no more holy land.

the military is equally ashamed to have had you in its ranks, I assure you. Get a life or go to your local VFW and make the same statements to the faces of some Vets, maybe they will silence your filth-hole.
