Everytime I try to conquer my mind, it conquers me back. It is like an enemy within, who is always instigating me. But he is also a friend who helps me at times. I like that part of my mind that is regulating my blood pressure, my heart beat and the nature order of my body. Thanks be to the LORD for keeping that part of my brain out of my reach.. . most of it.

Not sure if conquered is the right way to put it. Seems more like trying to understand what your real mind is.
My real mind is made up of the thing that I have decided are true or real, based on what makes sense to me. Things like Love, compassion, understanding, inclusiveness etc.
I have this other aspect to my mind that seems to be filled with something that can be best described as nonsense that has been given to me by people trying to frighten me into compliance with their fearful vision of the world.
When I’m thinking with the part I have created I am happy and see a beautiful loving compassionate world around me.
When I listen to the news or read a newspaper or listen to some talk show bigot’s idea of what is happening around me I forget the truth and start to believe the nonsense they are saying. This causes me to feel frightened and sad. It’s like going temporality insane. Eventually I regain my senses and realize that they have tricked me into believing in their nonsense once again.
Things are looking up though. The time that I spend confused and believing in the scary world these people rant about get s a bit shorter each time. I’m hoping someday to notice what is happening before it actually happens. Then I think that I will have gone completely sane.
Love and blessings.

Mind is love to learn not to conquer. Slaves conquer their spirits, masters conquer their quests, true men conquer their pursuits.

Ego/mind is made up of 'stuff' that we have learned since we were born. Most of the world population functions from their ego as their master. Which creates a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs in their lives.
When in reality they should be following their Heart, where their inner most Heart's desires reside.
That is how I live and function.

Those who follow their senses blindly are Slaves and those who command the Senses are masters of their minds. No one can say about our self, It has to be judged by peoples(world).

This is the wrong approach. Trying to do this puts you at war with yourself. We don't "conquer" our minds to find peace, we use our minds to find peace (through meditation, breathing exercises, mindfulness, etc.). Once we are at peace, there is nothing to fight and nothing to con quer. It's only a metaphor.

Technically everyone is a slave to their brain because your brain tells you what to do, it controls everything you do...waking up in the morning or not waking up, choosing to watch TV or not, the way you walk, the way you talk, bodily functions etc etc.
