You wouldn't be having "slight pain". It would be severe! Here's a self test. Slowly press down on the abdomen where the pain is and quickly let go. If you go through the roof- it's your Appendix. You'll know when it's time to go to the hospital!

The main symptom is severe abdominal pain that usually starts as vague discomfort around the navel, but becomes sharper and more localized during the course of a few hours. If you have appendicitis, you will probably feel pain and tenderness in a small spot in the lower right-hand part of your abdomen the sight of the inflamed appendix. Even slight pressure on the spot will increase the pain. You will also feel feverish and nauseated and may actually vomit.

it usually appears as a dull pain around the umblicus and then goes to localize in the right lower abdomen. you always have loss of appetite. sometimes nausea and vomiting. fever is not that reliable but matters.
REMEMBER:
this is the classic signs of appendicitis and there are variety of presentations. you need to visit a doctor.
pregnancy test is a must but easy to do to be sure of no pregnancy
if your doctor send you as an appendicitis case to the operating room, still in half of cases it comes to be nothing but a normal everything
i hope this help

Is it low or up higher? If it's high, and generates to the middle of your lower chest, like under your breastbone, it could be a gall bladder attack. Low pain could mean appendicitis, or if it's very low, it could be ovarian.
