Don't wallpaper a kitchen. There are many shades of taupe/tan that would fit with the floor and counter tops. Look at swatches & bring some home to see how they look.

How about painting one wall a bright color like orange (which is said to stimulate appetites) or yellow (which is thought to increase energy and make people feel more cheerful) and and papering the others with a kitchen-y print that picks up the chosen color as well as the black and white found in the other elements. Accessorize with bright appliances and gadgets (toaster, mixers, cutting board) to complement in either co-ordinating or contrasting colors.

Sounds like fun, wish I had a kitchen to decorate.

If you are into drama try benjamin moore color 'tucson red'.

I would not wall paper - it is so OUT as per all the home decorating shows. :)

if you want ideas, try www.hgtv.com and click around the shows or look for the 'kitchen' tab. It will give you titles of shows featuring kitchen remakes and you can certainly find plenty of ideas there. Good luck.
