If you have ever watched children from infancy onward it is pretty obvious people are good.
The overwhelming majority of people have empathy for others and do not willingly cause hurt.
Selfish behavior manifests in small ways to gain small advantages, but these are generally corrected to create socially well adjusted people. The absence of proper parental guidance is the bane of our society's future.
Human beings will adopt orphans and tend a stranger in need. These are sign of a generally "good" morality.
Most people are well meaning, but kind of lazy and not very bright.
Evil is taught, but it is an easy lesson to learn.

All people are good people. We just call the people who do the things that we don't like, bad or evil.
We of course are only seeing the situation from our own limited perspective. To us it fits the definition of bad or evil.
From the perspective of the other person it always looks like the correct or logical thing to be doing.
To the British in the 1700s George Washington was a terrorist commander.
To Americans he was a hero. All ideas of good and evil are point of view specific.
We are just silly enough to believe that our idea is always the only possible correct way to be thinking.
Silly little dream of superiority we are having isn’t it.
Love and blessings.

When you're born, you're a potential. The ability for good or evil exists equally. Situation can nudge people either way. But if we were created with free will, then the choice between good and evil must be equal.
If life is simply pre-ordained, then there is no good or evil, since we're just following a script, and there's no choice involved.

I'd say we start out as grey slates, both good and evil mixed in. Sort of a yin-yang kind of thing.

Blank slate. We become who we are by making right choices. We can always return to the right path, but making wrong choices can make it very difficult.

We are born with the ability to discern between good and evil. Also born with a free will to decide whether we will be good or evil, so it's up to us....cannot blame anyone else

People possess original sin, which can be thought of as a congenital predisposition to sin. All people commit sin, therefore, all people are evil.
The only way a person can be "good" is by the grace of God. People who believe that they are a good person are deceiving themselves.

We are born with both inherant traits. If you can figure out how to make everyone good, then you just found the recipe for peace on earth.
