Tried Page Setup, have given equal margins to left and right, yet it won't work. Could it be possibly because original Word Perfect document had been setup for Letter size paper? In any case, it's too late to go back to WordPerfect. I've already edited it in Microsoft.

I tried the cut and paste to Word Pad method. Somehow, I have no Notepad on my computer. When I bring it back to MSWord, it shows correctly until Page 75, except that the footnotes have been lost (this document is a book). Then, suddenly, indentation shows as (minus) 0.6", and it is off . . . but to a limited extent, both comments were helpful.

When you import, you also import the page setup. My suggestion (something I've had to do time and again) is to copy and paste, that way you have the ability to edit it the way you want.

Not sure it's the answer you want, but it's the easiest way, believe me! I've been using both since Windows was 3.1!!! :)

Okay, telling my age with that answer...but it shows experience too.

Oh, and if you no longer have the ability to go back to Word Perfect to copy and paste....copy the text, paste it in a notepad file, then copy from there to Microsoft Word. That usually eliminates the page setup too.

Since you are already in MS Word, could you just select all the text -- up to but not including the end paragraph marker.

Then, copy it to a new Word document and reformat?

I make it a practice to copy/paste instead of cut/paste so that if something goes wrong, I have something to go back to. It only takes a second to delete it after you have saved it in the new document.
