Currently swimming once a week, judo once a week and weights once a week. I do a light stretch after the weights and judo but not after the swim. Should i be doing a full stretch session somewhere there?

If you're stretching to avoid injury and soreness, then after any exercise. If you are stretching to improve flexibility then you should do developmental stretching every day.

Developmental stretching is a form of stretching where you hold the stretch for ten seconds and then you take a deep breath before pushing the stretch a little bit further. Repeat it three times. So each stretch is actually thirty seconds.

Your body only allows you to stretch to about 70% of your maximum flexibility (sometimes less). Obviously pain tells you when to stop each stretch. As you hold a stretch your body releases endorphins (a natural painkiller). This allows you to increase your range in each stretch.

Actually from what my trainer tells me to do...
I do a small warm up to get my muscles going. Then he has me do a light stretch. Then I do a cardio workout. Then I stretch. Then I do weights. Then I stretch again.

Works for me.

No, you got it pretty well covered.

You could however use weights-training to stretch, lengthen your muscles as they tend to become shorter than you would like them to be as a Judo-man with standard weights-training.

Some people say you should always stretch before (after warming up of course) and after exercising.
