I'd take the wink as an hello. You can't change a gay guy it's not something that you go buy in a shop and throw out when you've had enough. You are born gay, it's something to do with the genes getting mixed up (nature screwing up)

There is no way to get a gay guy to go straight. He winked at you because he thinks it's fine to be a little flirty with you, since it doesn't mean anything, since he's gay. He does not want to date you, he does not want to have sex with you. He wants to date guys and have sex with guys. The earlier you accept this the better off you will be.
