Look man, first off you're making a massive generalization, which makes your argument kind of pointless.
Anyway, I guess if Christians make excuses for what other Christians have done, it's for one of three reasons.
1. They don't want Christianity to have a bad image; if that's it, they shouldn't do that.
2. They don't believe what the other Christians did was really wrong, so they're defending them.
3. They're calling attention to the fact that we're just human, we make mistakes, and the failures of some shouln't discredit all of Christianity.

I don't make excuses for people who do bad things and then try at the same time to say they are Christians. Those people give really good decent Christians bad names. It's not the religion that is the problem it is the people. When you do something bad you are responsible for that . It's just like why do so many people in prison convert to a religion whether it be christian or Muslim and then get out of prison and go right back to doing everything again that landed them in jail the first time? People are going to do what they want. Religion has nothing to do with that.

The religion is not the problem it is what others make of it.
But you are on the spot, some Christians make excuses to save the name of Christianity it self.

I can see where youre coming from. I think the problem is that some christians consider themselves superior to non christians. I am a Jehovas Witness, or at least close enough to it- and that is a christian religion, but christians that dont follow the bible, and who use pastors sermons to base their biblical interpretations on, get really upset when they hear another version of the bible, even when there are a hundred verses to back them up.
Honestly, I think the truth scares some of them, and that instead of handling it civilly they lash out at people, and call them blasphemers, etc, instead of actually reading the bible themselves, and doing their own bible studies. I guess they feel bad when they find out that what theyve heard isnt all there is to it, and they are exposed for the fakes they are.
People who call themselves christians and DONT do their own private bible studies, are not, IMO, christians at all. Just lazy self righteous people who are very selfish and condescending when they are proven wrong. It irritates the heck out of me, too!
Just keep quoting verses, and helping the lost to find their way.. keep up the good work!

I dont think I quite understand what you are saying. I wont except what other christians are doing if it is wrong. As a matter of fact I wouldnt be a true sister to them if I didnt go and point it out and try to lead them back to the straigh tand narrow way. Fellow christians should never cover up a wrong doing. They should rebuke it. Jesus loves you.

Your question is rather vague can you be a little bit more specific?
Religion is not the problem in debates. Beliefs and or interpretations are the true causes of chaotic people in life. Everyone has the right to his or her own beliefs. It is not up to any Christian person(s) to judge them for their decisions or choices they choose to believe. The ultimate judge is God and He will judge each one of us for what we did here on earth.
A true Christian persons duty is to speak the truth about God and Jesus to anyone who is willing to know more about God and Jesus. A true Christian person can lead you to God, but has no right to force God or believing of God or His son Jesus down your throat. God Himself doesn't do that so why should we?
Have you ever heard the old saying:"you can lead a horse to water...but you can't make him drink"? Well that is sort of like Christianity. Once you hear the news of God and Jesus you must decide for yourself if you believe it or not.

Haaa! Yes, true, I remember that my father used to said, that even alcoholic people have their own religion when it comes to their bottle.
I don't believe in religion, religion is the cause of all wars, killing and what so ever. True Christian don't have Religion, they have Christ. See the word Christ-ians.. Not Christ-ligion
Other wise, we were called Christligions instead of Christians
Christ
is
a
n-o
s-inner
so we are clean with His Blood, so that makes us no sinners.

Christians protect their own just like any other religion or faith or family do.
Religion is not the problem, interpretation is the problem.

almost a good point. it is not the religion that is flawed, it is those around us, that pervert it to their own benefit.
as a christian, i am constantly bombarded by works of "christianity" that investigation proves to be a perversion of the belief system, but sells many many books for the author to make money.
