I see it all the time especially on here those two groups "arguing". I don't want to be attacked or hated so I'll just leave my faith or lack thereof out of it, but I'd like to hear it from both sides. Ding Ding.

There you go, grouping people together, and accusing the entire group, or groups.

I think they do it on here because it's an outlet for the things they don't have the courage to say in person to people of different outlooks.

I have seen some excellent questions asked here, and the point deliberately missed by the answerer's. That's the part I don't get. Answer the question, try to inform the person asking, maybe that will cause the reaction to change that some people seem to want.

Personally, when I ask something, particularly in this category, it's because I am seeking information, but I don't get that very often.

Maybe there would be less arguing if folks would just answer and leave the politics out. Debate of facts and theories is a wonderful pass-time, but arguing is pointless.

We both hate Muslims too, but their anger is directed toward Jews and they are too poor to buy computers so we leave them alone since we (Christians and Atheists) can't get great reactions out of them.

I think the statement about Christians never hearing blasphemy holds some water. In the mid west states there are very few Atheists. Not many on the East Coast either. You get out to the west coast and the Atheist capitol of the world, Washington, and there they are. When Christians hear these people say things they would never hear in their state they flip out.

Have a Nice day.

1) Because they think we are wrong.
2) Because we know they are wrong.

:)

That was just a wee joke... Generally there are a lot of people speaking from hatred here. For Christians I think that a lot of them have never really heard 'blasphemous' thoughts being spoken before and they often react with 'hatred of what's different'. For the atheists, it's either that they're young people 'rebelling' against God (and actually are a kind of theist) or that they are frustrated at the terrible things that religion has done to the world and want to make people realise it.

For me, I don't hate or attack Christians or Christianity. But I do criticise. When done respectfully, I believe it's everybody's right and - perhaps - duty.

I don't get the hate and attack that you speak of. Everyone has the right to and are simply expressing their beliefs. Just because I may not agree with someone does not mean I hate them. Its called debate, discussion, open for opinions, listening, conversing, etc etc etc. All part of being involved in life!

When's the last time you seriously heard of either one attacking the other? Just because they can't agree on the number of deities doesn't mean they're attacking each other.

because no matter how christian a person is, the attack of christiantiy is a personal attack against them.

likewise, the atheists are really sick and tired of my spiritual brothers and sisters who think they will save someone by preaching at them all the time.

Duh!!!!! They both have the opposite spiritual beliefs. Christians believe there is a God and atheist believe there is no God. I wonder how they think they came to be?
