I'm in this situation. We met in a chatroom, and live about an hour from each other, we're young and still haven't seen each other. We talk on the phone, on the computer, text, exchange pictures all the time. Pretty much we're always puttin' up with the other person (lol). We like each other a lot, but don't wanna date till we've hung out in person.
I believe you can fall for someone on the net, and I actually believe it to be more real (if the person isn't a compulsive liar). For, you're falling for them knowing who they really are and not by a lustful attraction.
Hell, I dated a boy that I saw multiple times a week, that I met in person, and fell for him, finding out that he lied about everything he told me, so my love for him was never real, it was for a fake him that didn't exist.

My boyfriend and I met online and fell in love. We talk for hours everyday on the phone. As long as you are sure that he is being truthful then yes it can and does happen that people fall in love over the internet.

i am in this situation, except i have accepted that i love that person. you can fall in love with someone without meeting them and i know because i did that a long time ago. i accepted it a while ago, too, and it works out beautifully. you just have to trust the other person, like i trust my boyfriend. you have to give them the benefit of the doubt pretty often and it works out fine. once you accept that you are in love, it has a way of gliding itself even thru the rough times..

Not exactly the same, but what you are doing sounds okay.... I mean you are getting to know each other and building the basis for a strong relationship - but you wont know how you really feel til you meet him, good luck

Well he might be a totally different person in reality. Just be sure to trust your instincts. You can't go wrong!
