I'm getting my teeth bleached by the dentist soon, and my teeth are stained from not taking care of them from when I was young, like I never brushed them at all, and the stains are kinda yellowish brown, will bleaching get rid of these stains and are they tetracycline stains?

This is something I do myself GENTLY.I am a smoker.I used to get brown bits on my teeth. Now the dentist gives teeth a scrape and polish, before I go I gently take my tweezers and scrape the brown of.you will find it comes of quite easily.gently.you dont want to ruin your enamel.

The only reason you would have tetracycline stains is if you took the medication when you were a child or if your mother took it while she was pregnant with you. I'm thinking that your teeth will lighten with the whitening process or you're dentist wouldn't have recommended it. Good luck

If bleaching (almost) does not work it was the tetracycline. Else it was coffee, tea, smoking.
