Living it is the higher form, but talking about it must give people the most contentment, since some of the most lazy, self-centered, dishonest, ungenerous people I know do the most talking on the topic. I prefer actions of kindness, generosity, helpfulness...right actions as opposed to meaningless talking followed by no action.

Definitely religion cannot give you contentment, nor can your religion save you. I am speaking as a Christian, although not a particularly good one, but I do try, and the way I try is by making an effort to be like Jesus, that IS living the Christian faith.

You can read all the Gospels and you will find that Jesus rarely spoke about religion, His religion I mean - Judaism. He did , however talk a lot abot relationships and he did give us many examples of how to be with others. He LIVED what he taught.

So, to go back to your question, living you religion is the only way, but it is not easy because it mostly means putting other people before self.

Talk is of the mouth and ears - truly living righteously is of the mind and heart - and it is a far higher form of worship!

Ones' actions speak louder than words and to embody Islam - my religion - I pray daily, prostrate, with my forehead touching the ground before my Creator. I also try to practice patience when dealing with others at my job, in my family, and my community. Others may speak of serving God (sometimes just before committing horrible acts of murder) but all their talk is just that - talk! Their actions SCREAM that they have no respect for others, their religion, or God Himself!

Religion does not give anyone contentment. It just makes people very sure they are right in their system of beliefs. My relationship with Jesus Christ challenges me and gives me contentment, it has nothing to do with religion.

I think that living religion is an expression of one's oppurtunity at religious discussion. I believe the point of having religion is to better one's self, one's life, and the lives of those around us. In order to develop one's views and ultimately life, discussion is important.

Living it.....it's a personal thing and I don't feel the need to talk about it to others. I try to live up to God's expectations by living a good life and trying to be kind. It just makes me feel good.

I enjoy talking about it. Giving advise and also getting advise. but the true contentment for me comes from living it. and you live it by doing what God said we should do. now no one is perfect but just work on it.
