Light two matches, blow them out and take the charcoal off, rub it together and then rub it on the bug bite. Its ald mexican home remedy. The charcoal takes the poison out.

Take an antihistamine like Reactine which attacks the source of the itch - the inflammation at the site of the bug bite.

Calamine lotion or anti itch cream like Lanacaine are very useful.
So is Afterbite. It's sold in Shoppers drugmart, Walmart, Canadian Tire or Zellers in the area where insect repellant & Sunscreen are sold.
Resist the temptation to scratch as to prevent infection.

An anti-histamine pill...bug bites itch because of a histamine reaction to bug saliva, so Reactine or another anti-histamine works well.

I have found a cream called Aveeno which is good for itchiness. You might want to try that.

If you rub the inside of a banana peel against your bite it is supposed to help.

Deodorant that contains aluminum will keep the bites from itching.

find someone with a lighted cigarette, bring it close to the itching point, when you start to feel the heat, it's done. the poison has been destroyed by the heat (70°c will break the protein structure).
