Move on, don't sit around waiting for him to make up his mind. He could be lying also, if he really liked u he wouldn't have asked u to WAIT A MONTH?
He has issues then let him work them out and while he's doing that u can meet with someone who knows what he wants and will not ask u to wait for him to decide
So move on and be happy

Well first of all, I say you should glad he told you this early on and did not wait until you guys were going out for months to drop the "exgirlfriend bomb" on you. I think you should not wait on him; move on. He broke up with this girl 1 year ago and it is still affecting him???? That's a long time to be hung up on someone you broke up with. Trust me; you do not want to be with a guy who is still in love with his ex or who is only with you because you remind him of his ex. Leave this guy alone; he has still got some issues and you do not want to be tangled up in them. Continue to go out with your friends and see other people. If he comes around and is ready for a relationship with you (minus the ex drama) then go for it but don't put your life on hold for him!

I know want you are going though.
I was in your shoes 4 years ago.
What I did was, I got the guy some time, actually 4 years. We did not see each other for 4 whole years. But we talked on the phone, send each other text messages and emailed each other.
I waited on him for 4 years. But now he has to wait on me.
But just be around, he will figure out what he wants, and if you are still around, he will come back to you.

Honestly, I wouldn't wait it out. If he doesn't know what he wants after a year, and hasn't gotten over her by now, it's likely that a month won't do much. It's never good to get into a relationship where one person is still hung up on their ex.

Give him his space and all the time he needs. But don't sit around and "wait" for him. Go on other dates, and meet new people. There is no reason to be hung up over someone who can't start a fresh relationship. Take it from me, dating someone w/ a lot of baggage just ends up hurting you in the end.

Don't wait for him. If he really cares about u he is going to see u for who u are. Maybe later he'll figure that out, but think of what u could be missing out on in the mean time.

then you should wait, give him time to think what he really want and also give yrself time either, even he maybe do not love the ex anymore but he maybe not love you enough either, i say maybe, but if yes so what is the point to waste yr time with a man who doesn't love you or love you enough? live with dignity sister, there are plenty of potentail guys around.

Wait it out... but don't wait too long. I mean, I wouldn't wait longer than a month.
