Japan because we have already spent billions and fafillions of dollars on the war on iraq and "terrorism". Besides, I've seem alot of our soldiers without legs and arms around here. Who would we have left to fight our war police, there so fat they cant even chase criminals. And Japans gene pool is healing from all the radiation.

There are two things involved here.
First, there would be no reason for the USA and Japan to go to war. The two are close allies. Any suggestion that they would go to war is insane.
Part of the surrender agreement that ended WWII committed Japan to a military that is very small and not really capable of an offensive campaign ... just defensive. Japan is considering re-building its military ... but they're not there yet.
So ... no war between the two. The question is moot.

The Allies defeated Japan a long time ago and I don't think we will ever have a war between us. Japan is a friend to the US and a great country with good hard working people just like the US .There constitution is of being pacifists, and would have to be changed or amended to wage or participate in war.

Japan has a good chance becuase in the second world war the Americans were not to sure if they should invade Japan. This is why they dropped that H bomb on Japan in world war 2.Although Japan isnt allowed anything like nukes their troops are good at what they do,America has got better technology so i would say America.

The USA would win that contest (militarily speaking), hands down. Since the end of World War II, Japan's military was relegated to the JDF,or Japanese Defense Force, solely for the protection of the home islands, and, since that arrangement only ended in about five years ago, there is no way that the Japanese would have sufficient moght to go against our military.
Not to say that the Japanese military is not a tough and disciplined group, but most of their weaponry was obtained through the US, so we know their capabilities, and this would simply be a case of sheer mass overwhelming them.

I wouldn't necessarily say America. Japan has a very innovative, high-tech industry, how do you know what they have under wraps? I would probably say America, because their brute force could win the war on its own, but Japan might have a lot of tricks up their sleeves.
I imagine their military robotics program is very advanced, their children are raised to love that stuff. Of course, they claim they only have enough weapons to defend themselves...but...I bet they have more under wraps!

USA
1. Japan does not have nukes.
2. USA has the most powerful and most advanced military.
3. Our economy is much stronger than Japan's
4. We have more troops than they have just based in their country.
5. We are ahead of them in everything.
Japan depends on the US for safety from China and N. Korea.

LOL, didn't we already decide that?
But seriously, the US would win hands down. Japan has pretty much been demilitarized, so how could they even launch an attack?
