Depends on the context and where you are. You could mention that you have things you need to be doing that you've been putting off and really must be going. Wish them a good day, and mention when you'll see them next, and nobody should take offense.

Just pretend there is something you have to do or that you have to go.

"I better get going, I have a meeting in 15 minutes. I'll talk to you later."
