I think you have to look at your mothers brother to see if you will go bald - I've heard this before. It comes from the mother's side of the family. And if your gonna go bald - shave it and own it because there is nothing you can do about it!

No, baldness is a sex linked trait passed down through your mother. To know if you will be bald you should look at your grandfather on your mothers side, not you father.

Yes you will go bald. There is one home remedy that works for stopping this however. If you buy a bag of chicken manuer fertilizer and mix 1 cup of it with 3 cups of water and soak your head in it for 15 minutes per week you will never go bald.

It has worked throughout the ages in Germany.

Genetic baldness is carried on the female gene. Look at your mother's father and brothers. If they tend to be bald or receding, then you are likely to be.

I have heard that baldness comes from your mother's side. What does her father and brothers look like?

Sometimes its hereditary but more often than not, it has to do with lifestyle.

Avoid direct exposure to the sun and hats / caps. Also if you ride a bike, you would be using a helmet and that leads to hair loss / balding. So avoid prolonged biking too!

Doesn't matter if your dad's bald. Check your grandfather...your mom's dad. If he's bald...chances are you will be. MPB (Male Pattern Baldness) gets handed down on the mom's side of the family.

It means you might go bald. Take good care of your hair.

Not necessarily. You might get your hair pattern from your mother. My father had a thick head of hair, but one of my brothers is bald. The other one isn't.
