My little guy is turning 1 on sept 1st... we are going to get him elmo stuff for his cake..decorations and such.....
cool toys would be anything he can ride on for his age (mine is already using the "cozy coupe" and a little fire truck. He also likes the teaching drum.. I can't remember the brand but he can beat on it and it plays music, drum, counts or does abc's...

Baby could care less. Will never even remember it.
Pick a theme that an older child would enjoy, like a 4 or 5 year old.
And for toys, I'd go educational but fun and simple.

well u can have a birthday with all ur friends family and co-workers. have everything that the baby can eat. everything in bottles and sippe cups. have the baby's crib in he middle of the party with the baby in it . have lullaby music throughout the whole party and hang banners and balloons that say baby's first birthday or (ur baby's name) fist birthday.. for cake I'd go wit Elmo my baby sister LOVES Elmo all kids do. and for the toys id go with toys that make sounds babies really don't understand how to work something so sensor toys are the best cause once he/she goes near it makes noise. just make sure it has an off button cause they get really annoying.

FIRST of all, you need to understand that this party is hardly for him, he is too young to understand or to enjoy.
This party is for YOU, to celebrate your efforts. So decorate the way you would like the best, or even better, invite your best friends and have a great time.
As for toys, get him some books (cardboard), they love them and also learn to love books.

I don't like the tone of your question and have decided to just forgive you for the mocking and mean treatment of Vietnam Vets. I lived for three years in a bamboo cage on my knees. I was eventually released by a sweep that was done by the military. I am now permanently disabled and I used to be fabuloous ball room dancer. Ahh those days are all over. Remember to be kind and friendly to everyone online for you do not know who has served and been beaten by the Viet Cong while living as a prisoner. Thanks
