I believe there is a moral code written on every person's heart. Some people call it "conscience". Usually, when a person starts to doubt the validity of his actions, it's the conscience saying "Whoa! Not cool!"

You need to ask yourself a few questions before making a moral decision:

1) Will the action help or hurt others?
2) Will the action result in temporary pain for a greater good (i.e. grounding a kid for shoplifting)?
3) Would the person you love and respect most (God, your parents, a trusted friend) approve of your actions if you told them about it?

Confidence comes from within through trial and error. You're not always going to hit the bull's eye with every decision you make in life. If you don't fail occasionally, you will never appreciate the thrill of success.

Well, if you're trying to decide if your actions and/or beleifs are right or wrong, you can always discuss the issue with a friend or someone you respect and see what they think about it. It all comes down to what you value in life and what you find morally correct. Morals are usually formed by a combination of what you know, what others around you know and beleive that you respect, and the culture you live in. Finding a balance is an important part of growth as is constantly questioning where you stand about certain issues. In the end, however, you just have to make a decision and be confident in yourself that you explored it as much as you reasonably could depending on the importance of the action.

You sound like someone who takes life seriously. If your actions does not harm others, don't worry too much about it, at the same time make sure it isn't harming you.
