Yeah check your cables and also sometimes people do not plug in their sound cables when they use the S-cable thinking that it takes care of the sound as well...it doesn't you still have to plug in the two sound cables as well as the S cable.

Don't feel bad though I have failed to connect them once or twice myself...Good luck

If you get sound on the first VCR but not on the second, it may be a tracking problem. Try adjusting the tracking on the second VCR.

Check the cables to make sure they have not gone bad. It happened to me before and one time was the cables and another one was on of the vcr's

Depends on how you have them interconnected. If your using composite video (R,W,Y), you have to make a loop. Two sets of cables, from out to in and in to out on both vcrs. If your using cable, it shouldn't make a difference, go from the out to the antennae input on the other and you should be good to go.

make sure the white cable is hooked up properly
