i know everyone is going to say the bible says everything, and say how its true , but there are millions of books in the world and does that mean its true?
It was made hundreads of years ago havent you religious people ever considered one day long ago some person was bored and wanted to make a book with a bunch of rules in it , and wrote fake stories?
Do we have any proff any of it really happened? besideds what writen on paper?
People say god created everything
why cant they accept the world was created by big astrod? its living proff that they do exsist, has anyone ever seen god?
why does he demand every boy be circumsized but he makes them born with forskin?
Are religious people that gullible that they need some fake person to give them faith about life

I am a present day witness to the reality of God:
For me, I had just left an abusive relationship and my
life was on the line. My husband had a gun out and was
going to shoot me. I ran...and got on a plane to San
Fran. On the plane I was shaking uncontrollably and
looked out the window...we were above the clouds...the
beauty of what I was looking at just flooded me until
nothing else was there...peace filled me. I heard
myself say, "God, if you're really there...I put my
life in Your hands. I've failed miserably at
everything...I can't do it anymore." And then I
finally started crying. The sobs came from deep inside
me, all the repressed fear, hurt, pain came flooding
out. And then I heard a gentle whisper in my
head..."I've always had you...you've never been out of
my sight...I even saw you when you tied your first
shoelace." And then it was like a liquid warmth filled
me. I thought I would melt into oblivion. It was like
I had given Him my mess, and He would give me His
help. And He did.
When I got off the plane it was as though everyone
went out of their way to help me. I found a place to
live, a job, and found that I was right across the
street from a christian community. After I got settled
I heard the gentle voice again. He said, "I want you
to meet My Son." So I went into a meeting at the
christian center and heard about Jesus. I learned
about the Gift God offers through Him. And having
experienced God first hand I had no trouble receiving
what His Son had to Give, and what He had to Say. So,
it didn't begin with a Book for me, it began with an
encounter. The Book came later.

Basically religion comes about because people are insecure and need hope for the future. Pick what ever ancient religion you like and you will find that it is thought to guarantee something.
Most of the modern religion have very similar themes. Savior is predicted, turns up, teaches, in dying says he will return when danger threatens or at the end of the world.
No religion has any scientific basis in fact. The bible for instance is made up from a hand full of scrolls out of hundreds of other scrolls found at the same time. The rest of the scrolls are said to disagree heavily with the ones chosen for the bible. Where are these scrolls? Locked away in the Vatican vault and literally no one is allowed access no matter how scholarly they are. Big Secret here then!!!!!
Jesus was a thorn in the Romans side yet there is no mention of him in their records! At the same time as Jesus was supposedly around there were a number of other claiming to be the Savior - guess what - they are all well recorded.
Religion is basically a crutch and people should be free to worship and believe as they wish so Long as it does not breach the law. Likewise those who do not believe in religion should be free from persecution by the religions and their followers.

Have you seen a book that has last as long as the bible? NOPE because true say God, the heavens and earth should pass away, but my word will not pass away.. So even when we are gone, this word of God will continue for ever and ever, but all other books will disappear.
Beside, have you ever told something that is true to someone but they don't believe in you? You are desperately for them to believe in you, but why should they believe you?
The same way is the word of God, it is true, but people wont believe in it, even God himself said that many wont believe in Him.. Everything is written.
Just take a look on the mirror and think, who created you so perfect, cause if we were made by just monkey or evolution, something imperfect could had happened. Why we all have our parts in the proper places? Because He who created us is perfect.
If we were created by evolution, I believe we would had been all disfigures and many of us would had look half animals.. But people cannot see that way. Sadly they chose not to believe in God.

the reason i believe in God is not coz the bible said He is real...and its not coz someone else said He was...
its because i wanted to find out for myself, and i did. i KNOW God. I have a relationship. all books and religion aside, i fellowship with God. its pretty easy to believe in someone u can communicate with. u should try it sometime.
oh and the thing about the foreskin... that was old testament. God doesnt require it anymore because when Jesus died on the cross he brought in a new Covenant. that circumthingy was the old covenant ritual that is no longer neccessary.
i suggest u listen to Kenneth Copeland's series on blood covenant. it will teach u alot about covenant, what Jesus has done, why God does certain things or did... and lots of other stuff.
God bless you :-)

I personally realize that the Bible was written by men with the sole purpose of controling the followers of the Church. Religious people can't accept that any of the Bible isn't true because then they'd have no way of coping with life. It's that simple.

You hit the nail on the head, gullibility.
If you ask people why they go to church, most of them will say that they went as children. This is a form of brainwashing (and child abuse too).
Now, take a child who's never been to church before, and when they are old enough to make some decisions for themselves (say around 11-12) take them to a church. I can guarantee you it will be a short visit. That's what happened to my son and daughter. They tried it and rejected it as "silly beyond belief" as my son so aptly put it...

I do the very best I know how- the very best I can; and I mean to keep doing so until the end. If the end brings me out all right, what is said against me won't amount to anything. If the end brings me out wrong, 10 angels swearing I was right would make no difference.

People believe in God because the people of God (of every good religion) are good people that lead lifes full of meaning. The more people believe in such good prophets, the more this world will be happy place.
if we do not believe in God, the society will be chaotical. God gives us hope to obey the Laws.

the bible has over 40 different authors all from a variety of backgrounds and was written over a period of over 1500 years. all together they correlated on one central theme
i highly highly doubt some people just met together because they were bored and wrote stories and rules
