i've had stitches more times then i can count but paper cut are a killer!

Creative answers all. But it's because paper has a jagged edge (as opposed to a raser blade which has a fine edge). As a result, it cuts like a saw (as opposed to a knife) and creates a ragged and painful cut. OUCH!

cause its not as big of a shock to your system and your body doesnt bother to send out testosterone to help block the pain signals. plus... a paper cut is always straight and deep, think of how many nerves are in your fingers, and each paper cut is just cutting right through them.

It's the sulphur drying agents in the paper that remain in the cut that sting so much. Just clean it thoroughly and it won't sting so much. Also it doesn't help that there are so many more nerve endings in your fingers.

Paper contains ACID and other chemicals that sting. Wash with soap and water right away. This will help clean away the chemicals.

Your finger tips have more nerves than other places and paper cuts are usualy on your finger tips. That is why they hurt so bad.
