Listen, if you burned the food and the roses got bent up on the way from the car, she should love and appreciate what you went through. You can take her to some lousy restaurant any time of any day.

Dude, this situation has some serious writing on the wall. It says, "GET OUT and find someone that will appreciate those little things that mean a lot!"

If she is too narcissistic to see this for what it is it's not going to get any better and don't waste your time talking about it. You should never have to show someone how to demonstrate decency and compassion.

Best wishes.

She probably took a great deal of time to dress up because she thought you were going out. You don't say what you cooked or how good a cook you are or why you would change plans at the last moment - spending money on your gf for her birthday (that's means paying for a great meal in a restaurant she likes) is normal, otherwise it simply seems like you're being stingy.
Make it up to her - do her birthday all over again, this time at the restaurant

wow man that was very romantic and she didnt appreciate that. most girls would be like how sweet and etc. ok so yeah it was her bday and u know bday people can get away with things. i think u should just let it go. i know u went through alot and kind of makes me think she dont deserve a guy like u. so yeah if u really like her just try to put it behind but she should have been happy. its wierd man. as u know girls are wierd so here is one of those cases. so good luck man.

You really should tell her that it hurt your feelings. If you don't how will she ever know? And if she don't care then maybe the relationship wasn't meant to be. She should at least understand that what you did was from your heart and way better then any other gift or plan could have been.

She is wrong for acting so ungrateful for all the trouble you went to for her birthday.. After all, The giver decides the gift, not the reciever. You have every right to be angry. You don't have to talk to her about it if you don't want to.
She is acting spoiled. For her next birthday I suggest just a card and a smile.

You'd better talk to her about it. Forgive me, but she sounds like she may be a ***** on wheels unless you aren't telling the whole story.

If you promised her one thing and did another, on the other hand, maybe she has a legit complaint--still, it's not like you substituted trash for gold.

Sounds like you two need better communication skills or this will just happen again.

I think it's nicer for a guy to go out of his way to do something himself such as cook dinner, etc......so don't feel bad. Lots of women would really appreciate such things.
Either she's spoiled, selfish, or immature. You didn't do anything wrong, and if it really bothers you, then tell her.

You talk to her, what she did wasn't very nice, tell her that you did your best trying to make her a little happy and instead she got mad,she should appreciate at least your efforts and that you are caring so much about her even its not the way she wanted it to be.

Sounds like she was ready to the paint the town red and/or your wallet could not afford it. If that was the case you should have told her that you were not going out. Honesty is the best policy.
