You can use fresh lemons. What I do is to buy the tubs of mix that do not have sugar. I make it up to 2 qts. and then squeeze in a half lemon with the pulp and add 3 packets of sugar free sweetener. I end up with lemonade that is sugar free and is similar to that made from fresh lemons.

If you have lemons and sugar here is a recipe

Ingredients:
4 lemons
2 quarts water
1 cup sugar
dash of salt (optional, helps take away any bitterness in white part of lemon)

Directions:
Slice two lemons thinly and put them in the bottom of a pitcher. Add sugar and salt and stir it around with a big spoon squishing the lemon slices and making sure the sugar gets rubbed all over the slices. Slice the other two lemons in half and squeeze all the juice out into the pitcher with the lemons and sugar. Let this mixture sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Add water and stir until sugar is dissolved and drink! (Yes you leave the lemon slices in!)

My mom usually makes it like this and it tastes really good :
(This should be enough for 6)

Squeeze 2 lemons with a squeezer..
Put the lemon juice in a jar...
Add water till the jar is almost full..
Add reasonable amount of sugar..(not too much )
Add just a pinch of salt..
Then add 2 table spoons of honey..
Leave it in the refrigerator for it to cool..
Voila!! there you have it!
Enjoy and hope you like it.
Take care.

Don't use a knife or peeler without adult supersition and sorry for the capital letters, I copy and pasted the answer.

WITH A POTATO PEELER, REMOVE THE PEEL VERY THINLY FROM THE LEMONS.

PUT THEM IN A HEAVY BASED PAN WITH THE LEMON SUGAR & COVER WITH WATER ( ABOUT 1 INCH)

COVER WITH A LID & PUT ON TO A VERY LOW HEAT. DO NOT LET THE WATER COME QUITE TO THE BOIL, OR IT WILL TASTE BITTER.

LEAVE TO COOL, THEN STRAIN THE LIQUID INTO A JUG.

ADD THE JUICE SQUEEZED FROM THE LEMONS & CASTER SUGAR TO TASTE. IT NEEDS TO BE QUITE SWEET & STRONG, AS IT WILL BE DILUTED.
COVER & CHILL IN REFRIGERATOR. TO SERVE DILUTE WITH SODA/MINERAL WATER & FLOAT DECORATION ON TOP.
