I think that you should be friends with him. Its better to have them in your life as a friend than nothing at all. Who knows maybe down the line hell smarten up.

There's not much you can do but be his friend, if you can handle that. You can't force love. He's not interested in you in that way. Yes, it will be weird for awhile, but your only choice at the moment, is to accept and respect his decision. Good for you for being courageous enough to tell him. Don't let his rejection hold you back the next time.

Once I told that to a girl,and she said "OK lets just continue being friends" after that with few months i was TERRIBLY in love with that girl,and she did nothing other than being herself,showing me sides of her personality that i couldn't see before.I think you should do the same,who knows?!

Don't worry about it, just be his friend. Nothing wrong with liking someone.
Before you know it, you'll be looking hot at your 20 year reunion and he'll be a good lifelong friend or a distant memory.
