They're just politically correct terms....
They are terms non-beliving-politically-correct people use to describe someone else's beliefs.
If you're "spiritual" it means that you haven't decided on what you are worshipping....but you know you're worshipping something and it can change at anytime. You could even design your God with the qualities you want it to possess. You know like going to Heaven just for being "good enough & nice".
If you use the term "religious" you are describing someone who's committed themselves to what they believe in. So if commitment is a good thing to you...then religious is better. If you don't want to offend someone, you say they're spiritual.
I'm not spiritual OR religious, but I'd consider it an honor if someone called me a Jesus Freak.
People may say I'm "religious", but I don't have a religion. Since I'm sick of everyone being "pc" I"m not going to make a big deal about it and take it as a compliment.

Religious is what the Jews were and to this day many still are. I am not getting on the Jews at all for this is God's chosen people. But Christ came to this earth to fulfill the law - given to Jews by Moses. This fulfillment alleviates us from religious acts and requirements and guides us toward a spiritual relationship with Him. As we allow this to happen we will do things that people like to classify as "religious" but not for the reasons they think.

Spiritual, definately. Being spiritual is wonderful. Being religious is just a senseless pain. You can be both or you can just cut the middle man. Spiritual is from within, religious is from without. Religion is external influence, but your spirituality is part of who you are.

It is better to be spiritual cuz you only care about your connection with God.Being religious means you only care about the things you have to do in the religion.

I think it's better to be spiritual. In other words, to be connected in a significant way to what your beliefs are. To really feel it inside, rather than going thru the motions. Religion is a man-made artifice full of rules, regulation, and more often than not, nonsense.

If you believe in Christ spiritually, to live in a Christian manner, act, rather than give lip service to the Christian values of humility, charity, and kindness. And, I guess whatever other god you profess to worship, be it Allah, Yahweh, Vishnu, or whatever. It's all about being connnected, body & soul to what you believe in.

Unfortunately, I'm neither, but working on it!

it depends on your definition of the two.

spritual can be a communication with any object, person or plant or animal, or even the stars themselves. as an amateur scientist, i get a truly spiritual and rapturous feeling when i find a section of the cosmos that is new to me. the revelations that i have are not that of the bible, but being able to see the magnificience of it is remarkable.

my beliefs are religious as they deal with my soul and the study of historical and archeological facts.

one can be spritual without being religious, but i do know believe you can be "truly" religious, without having some spiritual moments.

Both are necessary. Religion without spirituality is an empty exercise, while spirituality without religion may lack focus. The historical wisdom contained in sacred texts and related philosophical inquiries can be of value in guiding your journey.

Spiritual. Whether it's good to be spiritual or not depends on what you think 'spiritual' means. It has many meanings.
