First Date you're basically just trying to see if you get along or not. See if there's any attractions and such. Depending on what you prefer at that time it's up to those people.
In my case I got a serious relationship, It's been 4 yrs so far and going great.

Definitely a trial period, the first date, so therefore I'd want to get to know this person, spend time together talking about lots of things. Sex would come naturally if you hit it off in the compatability dept. or how about chemistry.......Relationship is the answer.......

It's the first date, right? - and looking for either will get you neither. On the contrary, looking for neither might get you either or even both. Key is the balance between looking and not looking. But then again, these harmones have a life of their own. And they are always looking.

Sex can always wait... I don't think it is appropriate to have sex on your first date. If the person is the right one, you can have sex later, for the rest of your life, together - it will be bedparty non-stop!
