I don't believe that Purgatory exists ... I haven't read about it in the Bible

Purgatory sounds a lot like the World of Spirits that Swedenborg talks about. In other words, if you have unresolved issues and need second chances you spend more time getting ready for heaven here. Hey I know that the World of Spirits as a place you go to when you die sounds weird but it is kind of like food going into you stomach before it is sorted out.

purgatory not in Bible, in Ecc 9:5, 6 & 10 “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in anything that is done under the sun.” “Whatsoever thy hand finds to do, do it with all thy might for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.” God says the dead know not anything. In the gospels, John chapter 11, when it talks about Lazarus death, in verse eleven Jesus calls death sleep. How many of you, when you get a good nights sleep realize anything that goes on around you between the time you fall asleep and when you wake up? That is what it is like to be dead.

From a Catholic perspective, purgatory is the transition from a 'sin nature' to a 'holy nature'. They make no claims as to how this transition occurs. In days of old, it was assumed to be a kind of temporary hell. Now days, it's assumed to happen instantly at death, kind of like taking off a set of dirty torn old cloths to reveal a shining pure set underneath.

It is for a man once to die and then judgment.

There is no purgatory and there is no biblical support for it.
For there to be such a place, getting into heaven must be of your works and we KNOW that it is not.

Unless you know of another way, you gotta die to find out fersure. So what if you have to take a flight that has a layover, just as long as you get to the desired destination is all that matters.
