When I became old enough to question parts of the Bible and never got any real answers other than...."it's God's word" or "because that is what the Bible says".

It was a gradual process. It had a lot to do with reading about Greek Gods and the silly things intelligent people have believed in throughout history. Too many obvious fallacies and contradictions in the bible. Reading The Stranger by Camus made me realize that people are only in this religon thing for themselves. It's a selfish and fear filled endeavor. There can be great things attributed to life and pleasure without the mythology of demons and angels, meted justice, an unknown filling an empty void, etc. Humanity doesn't seem to be the big concern. I feel everyone is empty and lost and we all NEED to preach about a heavenly Father, because we need love. Believing in God fills the void. There are logical explanations for everything, and I notice way too many Christians making up every excuse they can to deny scientific fact, supplanting what they don't understand with the God theory. I feel it is a fear of death and abject repression. My loss of faith was very gradual throughout my twenties. Not that I have lost all faith. I have faith in logic. I have faith in kindness. I believe in grief and love. I believe in an artistic soul, not an extraneous one. I also recognize that there is more to the universe than I, or any human will understand in my lifetime. I just don't supplant my ignorance with God. I accept it. I think logic is healthy, and being human is beautiful for the ones who know how to be human.

Never! A person may stray from their faith from time to time however this does not result in that person loosing their salvation as once saved, always saved. It does mean that the fellowship between them and the Lord has been severed and is immediately reinstated once having asked for forgiveness. (See the parable of the Prodigal son)

A true believer never looses faith.

I think it is understandable losing faith in organized churches managing the Christian faith. All are guilty of preaching three persons in the trinity except the Swedenborgian Church and some Pentacostals.

Losing faith in Jesus Christ is not really possible. Everyone knows He is at least part of God (obviously the visible part) if not fully God in one soul/body. Everyone knows Jesus Christ led the most examplary life of anyone and a perfect life as an example to us.

I never really had any to lose, but I started to acknowledge that when I was about 12 or 13, I guess. It took quite a long time for me to accept it, in fact. I was as much of a victim of Christian fear-mongering as anyone else - though I've never been to a church service in my life (except weddings and funerals).

The more I studied the oregin of bibles, the more I realized I had been lied to by smiling pastors and other fools. Churches have had 2000+ years to perfect their propaganda.
I threw jesus into the dump with all the other religions. BEEN HAPPIER EVER SINCE.

Ooohhh, there's been times I've been seriously shaken up to the point that I've spat out at God. Then I look force myself to step back and really, REALLY look at my life: my family, kids, health, even the most basic things like shelter, food etc.. and I repent for my selfishness.
