It's part of Christian belief that anyone who doesn't follow Jesus will go to hell. So, naturally, we try to save (convert) you. And when you respond to that with sarcasm and malice, it makes us angry because we're just trying to help you.

My son, you are ready to make your first kill! Get that liver and rip it out and take a big big bite....argh....oh yeah, yum yum yum....
God that really get my adrenalin a going.
I think I will go home and call my non Christian lover And have him come over and have non christian acts commited on him, and then my turn. Oh yeah I go there sometimes. I am not perfect. I am a Christian. I dont get pissed about the fact that others say there is no God. I dont care really. Thats between you and your other personalities! hahahaha
I am entriely different from everyone else on the planet, as is the truth with everyone. And I think cuddling is grand but where I would do it with you I wont do it with Ted Bundy or my ex room-mate....but that has nothing to do with my religious preferences!
And how does JESUS JUICE taste anyways?? Yeah I'll try some as long as I dont trip out thinking I am flying like that Scrooge guy and that God Damn milk of human kindness crap! :-)
Ok So, Why do Atheists believe there is no God? Is that what you are now?? Uh....oh Sh*t! Does this mean I need to buy some mushrooms? Cause I think you are coming over to my house for some LIVER....

Some people just take things too seriously, or as an attack on themselves. Just because someone's a christian doesn't mean they are perfect.
Besides, this is something we believe in wholeheartedly, and often I see approximately the same response on both sides. Christians react poorly to atheism, just as atheists react poorly to mention of God.
It may also be the TYPES of atheists and christians who hang out in online forums and Yahoo Answers. Atheists online seem more likely to be sarcastic. Similarly, many christians in these same places tend to be more fundamentalist.
Really, it's because most people online feel a need to prove something to everyone else. It's a culture battle that has little mention in real life, but the internet bring the people who want to argue together.
Nobody is perfect, and pot shots will get taken back and forth. Just ignore it, and remember that all people on the other side of the debate aren't necessarially like that jerk you talked to online

I'm absolutely certain I have dark hair. If you try to mess with my head and tell me I'm blonde, or maybe you believe I'm blonde because you see things differently, I don't have to scream in your face that I'm a brunette. I know I'm a brunette, plain and simple.
However, if it was something I wasn't sure about...I'd react differently. Wouldn't I? *smile*
Behind many christians' strong facade of faith is the secret fear that they're wrong. That there may not be a god.

I hear ya'!
Honestly, I have no idea why they can't handle the fact you may not think like them. They (Christians) quote verse after verse of the Bible thinking that will make you "see the light", when, in fact, it does the opposite, I can't scroll through that crap quick enough.
I think they're so completely immersed in their own world that they can't handle the thought that someone may think differently then them.
It's the complete self-centeredness and the hypocrisy of the Christian religion that has ALWAYS turned me off.

I don't get "pissed off". In fact, I find many of your questions laughable, to tell the truth. So many of you answer your own questions with scriptures that you quote! And also, your question is also a bit funny. You accuse us of getting "pissed off", yet, by reading your last line, YOU seem a bit ticked!

Religion is one of those subjects where people tend to lose their objectivity. Politics is another. So, when you start poking fun at their beliefs, they tend not to take it lightly. Also, they may feel that you are doomed to spend life in hell, or whatever the punishment for nonbelief is in their particular religon.

"well why do atheists...?" get so mad and start murdering millions of other people when they disagree or have a slightly different opinion? as for answering a q with a q it's to try and get you to think and realize an obvious answer to a an obvious q.
