There really is no completely safe time. Generally ovulation usually occurs around the middle of your cycle so for example if you have a 28 day cycle, ovulation occurs around the 14th day. It does vary though, even if you have a regular cycle. While the egg is only viable for 24 hours, sperm can live up to 5 days once ejaculated. Five days before ovulation and 24 hours after is the best time to get pregnant. Though rare, some women do ovulate more than once during a cycle. If you don't want to get pregnant, you should always use contraception.

No there almost nil chances of getting pregnant during periods. The sperms have a survival period of 72 hours and the ovulation takes place on the 14th day from ur menses. So there are no chances of the ovum getting fertilised and hence no pregnancy. The period of menses is also known as the safe peroid.

If you are not prepared to become pregnant at any time in your cycle, then you should ask yourself why you are having unprotected sex with your boyfriend.
If you become pregnant, are you prepared for the consequences?
That is the question you should ask before you have unprotected sex at any time.
Middle cycle is the time when you are most likely able to conceive, however, women have become pregnant at any stage of their cycle, you're less likely to, but that's not 100%, like with contraception.

its completely the opposite...its impossible to get pregnant while in Ur period.
therefore some physicians call this period and the few days after it the safe period.
by the way its a very bad habit to have sex while in the period

If you have to be asking that question, then I would say you are way too young to be having sex. Grow up, finish high school, get a couple of years of college under your belt and then and only when you are fully prepared, to take what ever responsibly comes out of it, then have sex.

no. at that point in your mestrual cycle, the unfertilized egg is leaving the body along with the cellular material from the uterus that was for implantation of a fertilized egg. but you CAN still get pregnant.

no, I would say less chance.
Conception normally occurs 2 weeks before your period, when you ovulate (if you have sex during that time, of course).
