They always emit infrared radiation when they are on and in use so when one is pointed at another the second gun says "Danger" and it also emits an infrared radiation when it is shot, so it can register a "tag" on another gun. What if I found out those two frequencies, and utilized the first in an automated version of the gun to pick up the signal and act as an alarm, or to work as an automated turret and fire the second signal at the first signal. To give you a better idea of what the guns are like, here is a website. By the way, yes it is lazer with a z not an s.

Any objections, ideas, suggestions, or agreements with my idea? Thanks for taking the time to read this rather long question. No, you cannot steal it. Patents are pending ;). It's not the biggest toy ever, either, that's why I want to try to produce it. It is actually quite fun, like real laser tag fun at an arcade with the the comfort of your own home.

A real-life aimbot! That's rich. Of course, most online games ban the use of aimbots because of the unfair advantage, but this sounds like something fun to build. Of course, after the first time, no one will want to play with you and you'd be banned. However, in my opinion, the "warning' that the gun generates is also unsportsmanlike, and teaches people to rely on the technology instead of their instincts and talent, so the whole idea of the gun-warning is bad.

You could make this thing omni-directional, so that as soon as it detected a victim, it would emit an IR signal in all directions, or in a fan pattern - your version of a Claymore mine.

Or, you could make a lot of little devices that only emit the "danger" signal, and leave them lying around or hidden. This would make everyone get a warning all over the place, when there's no-one around, which will make them nervous. After a while, they will start to ignore the warnings. then, you put on a vest that has a lot of warning generators on it, and turn ot on and off at random intervals... eventually, the other players will ignore the warnings, and that's when you go to town on them!

Have you tried disabling the warning transmitter feature on your gun? That would be the first thing that I would do (shame on me).

You could also adapt one of those things that stores use to detect when someone enters the door (where you cut a beam of light), so that whenever someone passes, this thing shoots whoever set it off (booby trap). Or, hook it to your Claymore to wipe out the whole team.

Maybe you could hook up your gun detector to an unmanned super-soaker or some other harmless gag (automated sound generator, like one of those things that laughs or farts loudly when you press the button).

I think the most fun would be to make a device that would produce a strong warning, then delays a fraction of a second, then takes a flash picture of the other guy. This picture would be of him, standing there with a shocked look on his face, trying to see where the warning came from, practcally p-i-s-s-ing his pants. Then later, you can show him the picture, and get him to pay you for NOT posting it on fark.com or someplace. Easy money.
